The Contract Administrator is responsible for contract management and general administrative support for Business and Legal Affairs department.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Process and track a range of agreements for five in-house attorneys
  • Communicate and coordinate with various departments on status of agreements and deal memo specifics
  • Track action dates in contracts as required
  • Draft correspondence letters
  • Process and track legal and administrative invoices
  • Manage legal files on legal server as well as at storage facility
  • Help maintain trademark database (Web TMS) for IP counsel
  • Other ad-hoc administration duties as outlined by the department head such as filing, making photocopies, scheduling meetings, answering phones, scanning, etc.
Job Requirements
  • The candidate will have some familiarity with one or more of the following:  general corporate law including non-disclosure agreements, creative service agreements, distribution and licensing agreements, entertainment law and IP law.
  • Experience will include contract review and preparation, legal correspondence, and legal research.
  • Familiarity with Web TMS, Counterpoint Pelican Profiles, Filemaker Pro, Jaguar Software, or equiv. tracking database.
  • Must be Mac proficient.
  • Must have strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, WordPerfect, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment, juggle multiple projects and handle tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive material with discretion.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, fine attention to detail and sharp analytical skills.
  • Must be able to maneuver heavy boxes in and out of storage and for filing purposes.
  • Experience in legal profession preferred.
  • College degree required.
