The Director of Email and Mobile Marketing is responsible for managing email and mobile marketing processes for The Art Institutes system of 40+ schools. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and leverage integrated communication channels to achieve system-wide inquiry conversion goals, foster applicant engagement, and influence student enrollment rates. This position works with external email and mobile providers/ platforms, internal operations associates, and marketing and admissions leadership to drive results across the system and at the school-level. Strategic and innovative thinking, direct marketing expertise, analytical skills and a strong work ethic are a must, as is the ability to have fun in a challenging and demanding environment. The Director of Email and Mobile Marketing will formulate specific email communication strategies and campaigns in support of system and schools, ensuring accountability through measurement.
Job Requirements: Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA highly preferred. 5-7 years of online, e-commerce or direct marketing consumer experience including 2-3 years in a marketing leadership role, with an emphasis on email marketing. Experience leading the development, testing and implementation of automated and event triggered email programs. Expertise in email best practices including contact strategies, design, A/B testing, deliverability, list segmentation, and analytics/performance management. Knowledge of email marketing laws. Experience with for-profit post-secondary education market a plus. Skills: Results driven, ability to initiate and lead projects; solid strategical skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong problem-solving & analytical skills; High sense of accountability and integrity; customer service oriented demeanor. Abilities: Ability to interact effectively as either a leader or as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments. Proven track record of developing and executing data-driven direct marketing strategies.
